After a more in depth research period about magazine front covers, we decided to update and drastically change what we already had. This was due to the fact that what we had looked cheap, messy and unprofessional.
Looking at film magazines, they are pretty plain, making sure that a reader can see every piece of information on the front cover with ease, without the background image cover up any of the text. Furthermore, the covers have a maximum of 3/4 colours, so we stuck with this convention.
We chose red as it is one of, if not the most eye catching colour, which would grab someones attention automatically.
