This research benefited us, as it showed what should be included and what should not be included. Examples of these do's and don'ts are:
Do Make sure that
the synopsis includes exclusive details of the story of the film (with no
commentary)
Do Try and get
the first line to be one or two sentences long and contain irony if at all
possible.
Do establish what
your hero is trying to achieve during the course of the story. Get the reader
quickly invested in whether or not the protagonist will succeed.
Do write in third
person, present tense.
Don’t mention all
of the characters, just the main ones included the protagonist and antagonist.
Don’t mention too
much about the plot. Talk about subjects that won’t give things away. You want
to write something that will get the reader to watch the movie, without giving
away the entire story.
